The City of Calgary has become a Bee City to highlight its mandate to improve the health and well being of its communities. The City recognizes the direct connection community well being and biodiversity, as identified in its BiodiverCity strategic plan. Our Bee City designation further supports The City’s commitment to protect, sustainably utilize, and manage biodiversity for its role as the foundation of our existence. Supporting pollinator habitat as a Bee City is a powerful way for The City and its citizens to advance this work.
