City of Brooks
In the upcoming year, we will continue with our existing initiatives (i.e.: edible community garden, pollinator week celebration, workshop(s) and being present at more local events (i.e. markets and tradeshows). The EcoBrooks Committee is looking at how we can work with the City of Brooks and the Communities in Bloom Committee to integrate more native plants into the City’s beautification program.
The Committee recently discussed the importance of encouraging residents to support pollinators by providing them with the winter cover they need in the form of fall leaves and standing dead plant material.
