It is important to become a Bee School for several reasons. Firstly, it helps students learn about the vital role of pollinators and native plants. The decline of worldwide bee populations is an urgent issue that needs to be addressed, partly through school collaborations to help raise awareness and implement new initiatives. By doing so, schools are providing more opportunities for the community to participate in environmental conservation and foster a deeper understanding of the ecosystem in our school.
BSS should become a Bee City School to help actively contribute our efforts into helping pollinators and educating the community. Our school community is very passionate towards environmental sustainability and we have started multiple initiatives to improve our local ecosystem. By becoming a Bee School, we can increase appreciation for the environment and create new sustainable initiatives on various scales. We hope to promote responsibility for the environment among students and make a difference in preserving ecosystems.
