Madonna Catholic School

Bees are at the risk of extinction, and this could be detrimental to our communities. The purpose of the Madonna School Pollinator Garden is to provide a space for children in the community to learn about the natural world including the needs of plants, the benefit of plants to the community, and our relationship with pollinators; for example, a third of the world’s food production depends on bees who require wildflower pollen and nectar to stay healthy.
Unlike other gardens in the area that are designed for growing produce or flowers, this garden will focus on providing our human support to the natural world, to benefit our more-than-human relations as well as helping our community’s gardeners by supporting native bees and pollinators.
